Honarable Indian Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi announced Indian Railway Budget for the year 2012-13.He promised  for the safety of the passengers and also 113 new trains are announced.After 8 years the train fare rates are increased,this reflects Rupees.7000 crore increase in the railway revenue for the year 2012-13 Increased fare of Railway charges in terms of kilometers includes:

   

2 paise for lower class and sub urban trains /kilometer .

3 paise for mail express lower class trains /Kilometer

5 paise for sleeper class/Kilometer

10 paise for A.C chair car,Third A.C(3-Tier) /kilometer

15 paise for Second A.C(2-Tier)/Kilometer

30 paise for First A.C/Kilometer
